Those precious few weeks that all Montanan’s treasure. When the lake’s sparkle, fish jump and the mountains call. It’s not that we don’t enjoy the other seasons in Big Sky Country. Fall means hunting and cooler hiking weather, winter means snowmobiling, skiing, and sledding, spring is time to get busy with the garden and the first camping trip of the year. Yes, Montana is enjoyable year round but, summer is where it shines. We use those late sunsets to the full and we make sure to enjoy the cool mountain water when the sun heats up. And don’t be surprised if you see people walking around with purple stained hands, it’s not an epidemic, just hungry huckleberry pickers. Of course there are summer weddings, outdoor concerts, festivals, and patio happy hours to enjoy too. Whatever you have been up to this Montana summer I hope it has been a great one. Here is a little taste of what my summer has been like in 2018.
